Remember that I.D. contest, folks? Well, the unnofficial deadline, set for November 30th, is drawing painfully near, and thus far, I have had only one entry. I'm writing now to announce that I have CLOSED the contest. There will be no contesting for the I.D., since we have so few interested/even submitted thus far.

*vladimirsangel was nice enough to do an I.D. for us, and I have it set and submitted to the club already.

HOWEVER. Just because I have closed the contest does NOT mean you can't submit an I.D.! If you have one planned/in the works, PLEASE STILL LET ME KNOW and we'll get it submitted ASAP!

we NEED some more art up here! So if Cervy-themed inspiration hits, DON'T HESITATE to let me or any of the co-mods (listed below) know so we can get your art submitted!

So just what is the CFC?

The CFC (Cervantes Fan Club) is the congregation of Cervantes fangirls (or need be, fan-guys). It is a well-needed devotional to the character Cervantes de Leon from the Soul Calibur game series.

Why Cervantes?

As far as I know, there is no club devoted to Cervantes de Leon yet in existance. Clubs devoted to SC (Soul Calibur) characters thus far encompass everyone from Raphael to Kilik, and we feel this needs to be changed! Let's face it: Not many guys can be 48 and still kick some serious booty! And furthermore, he's Spanish, he's a pirate. What more needs to be said?

So, what's the function of the club?

The function of this club, besides squealing over how amazingly wonderful Cervantes looks in his SCII 2p outfit, is to provide artwork and fanfiction related to the character of Cervantes de Leon.

I know things are rather scarce now, but as time goes on, I will be adding links to fanfiction and (hopefully) deviations will be uploaded. Contests dealing with artwork are also planned to be held, and all members will likewise be informed when the time comes.

How do I join?

To join the CFC, please send a note to the club requesting membership. I, *EvilYardGnome , am the club owner, and if all else fails, please contact me by way of note on this site or by e-mail. To be a member, you must obviously have some knowledge/interest in the SC game series and likewise must be a Cervantes fan. Also, please remember to WATCH the club to be informed of any crucial updates.

Are there any rules?

Rules are rather basic. I trust rules won't need to be enforced by most around here, but for the diminuitive percentage that DOES need a rule spreadsheet: No harassment, no sexually profane pictures (in other words, simply comply to the DeviantArt standards of submission), and please keep the swearing to the minimum. I don't mind the occasional f-bomb or WTF, but keep it cool, kids. In other words, all I'm asking here is to comply with the standards of DA. Any disruptive users will be terminated from the club and blocked from the page.

Artwork? Fanfiction? How does that all work?

If you are a member, please WATCH the club. Artwork contests will be announced when the time comes. As far as actual submission goes, the club will, in return, watch you. If you have a piece of work I (or any mod) would like in the club gallery, you will be informed and your permission asked before any submission take place. The same applies for any written work on the site. If you have outside fanfiction (ex: at Fanfiction.net) and wish to submit it to the club, please send the club or myself ( *EvilYardGnome ) a note.
